Here's a life tip. If you get pulled over by the cops. Never ask "your not going to search the trunk are you?". Then they get all pissy, ask you to turn off the car get out and sit on the curb. Then they totally search everything.

That's not good. But if you read the article. The Ballistic Blocks are around 60cm. That's just about 2 feet in length. Not like boulders the size of cars. Then again something the size of a brick flying along a few hundred feet high and I's assume like 200 mph isn't anything to not worry about.

Not being a Debbie Downer by any means. But just reading the headline is a little misleading. Then again we all actually click links and read articles in here. Not like 93% of GLP that comments w/out reading.

I've added trying one of your cakes to my bucket list. Just wanted to give you a heads up because I'm determined to conquer my bucket list.

Mt. Baker and Mt. Meager are fairly close. Might be one even closer. That area will have occasional swarms, but what's going on right now is a bit excessive.

Earthquakes in the Pacific Northwest (PacNW) states of Washington and Oregon result from slip on faults in a variety of geographic and geologic settings. Earthquakes in much of the region are a consequence of stresses associated with motion of the Juan de Fuca Oceanic Plate to the northeast with respect to the North America Continental Plate at a rate of several cm per year. This relative motion is largely made possible because the Juan de Fuca plate descends into the Earth's mantle below the North American continent along what is called the Cascadia Subduction Zone, which extends from northwestern California through western Oregon and western Washington to Vancouver Island, Canada. Relative plate motion that is not accommodated by subduction of the Juan de Fuca plate is accommodated by deformation of the overriding North America plate. Earthquakes are associated with both the subduction process and the deformation of the overriding North America plate.
