I have to agree with Simple, that kind of shit is everywhere. If it's not a situation where someone is stealing your sales, it will be something else. People not pulling their weight, people throwing you under the bus, others taking credit for your work, etc. It doesn't matter where you work or what line of work you're in, unfortunately there is bullshit and crappy people you'll have to deal with in some form or another.

With that being said, sales probably isn't your cup of tea but you knew that when you took the job. Remember, this is a stepping stone as you figure out what you want to do for the long haul. It's not a career, it's just a job to give you income to survive and ultimately move on with.

Your family is who they are, just as you are who you are. They can't change you and vice versa. Right now you are appeasing them, but you're also doing what you needed to do for yourself, even though you don't like it. You need income if you're going to move on elsewhere, and although you weren't as concerned about finding a job w/insurance as the family was, in the end it allowed you to get your tooth out, right?

If nothing else, this is an experience that will help you fine-tune what's important to you in a job and a workplace, and will help define your limitations of what you can and can't deal with. Because no matter how hard you try, there will be aspects you don't like. No job situation will be ideal or perfect. Some of the things I choose to put up with might be your deal breaker. Some things I knew early on I couldn't put up with, other things I learned at my last job. It's about finding your balance. Each experience brings insight that will get you to where you need to go in the long run. Trust in that, and keep reminding yourself this is temporary and is only serving a purpose for now.
