Sounds like it would be a positive move. A huge move yes, but positive for all of you. : )

It's a lot to think about and a lot of work to do, but if the end result is more happiness for all of you, get it mama!

hugs
 Quoting: Simple27

Daughter needs away from here. That is a biggie.

I need to be around people other than just my family of 4.

I think in the long run, we would all be happier and more fulfilled!!!

But man!!!!!!!!!!! It will be a lot of work
 Quoting: WhiteAngel

Wow! That's huge. Can husband get transferred or does it mean looking for jobs?
 Quoting: Isis One

He works with a large IT company and works 100% from home so he can work pretty much anywhere he wants. Biggest issue is he also works two hours a night at UPS loading and unloading planes which gives him free health care premiums. His main job’s premiums went up to $1,400 a month!!!!! We can’t afford it. Premiums are suppose to be lower in Texas so he will be looking into it Tuesday. He hopes it is much lower and can drop UPS but who knows.
 Quoting: WhiteAngel

OK, thanks. Hope he finds a good plan.

Oh ND, that's terrible. I'm upset to hear this! I'm sure the ribs are painful as hell, but I'm more worried about your balance. I hope this is nothing to get too concerned about. Maybe something as simple as doing too much too soon? Just try and take it easy, it can't hurt. And I do hope you're following up with the doctor.

I was diagnosed with inner ear nerve damage a few years ago, then they found the AVM on my brain, my neuro surgeon told me that surgery may cure my symptoms but if I had inner ear damage then it would not...

so I guess I had both, at least I don't have to worry about me brain rupturing anymore but they can not fix my ear damage.....

this is my first day with no medication for me ribs, it's pretty painful, but I will live....

love you all and thanks for your concern....hf
 Quoting: -Noahsdad-

That's too bad. I can relate a little. As I mentioned I lost the hearing in my left ear a few weeks ago. Just got MRI yesterday to see if there is anything in there. If no tumors then it's likely it was a virus got to the inner ear nerve which I find a little hard to believe that a virus can take your hearing out overnight. I don't have problems with balance like you though, just hearing loss with intermittent stabbing pain. Think it's energy weapon or smart meter or some shit like that.
 Quoting: Isis One

Dang it Isis, I didn't realize you were still dealing with that! What's odd to me is that you have pain along with the hearing loss. It wouldn't shock me that a virus could harm your hearing like that though. Viruses will outlast us all.

Glad you're following up, and I do hope it's something they can address and hopefully get your full hearing back in that left ear.
 Quoting: KickinIt

Thanks KickInIt, it is a little unnerving to loss 1/2 your hearing. Everything is a little weird, its a big loss. We'll have to wait and see. I have appt. with my ENT guy Tuesday morning. I'm hoping the MRI results will have made it to his office.

It's official - major storm damage in some spots around town. I just surveyed the damage in back - patio looks like a war zone with leaves and small branches everywhere, but nothing major. I saw my neighbor, however, and the storm blew her big, heavy, glass patio table over onto it's side, and it bent her umbrella pole! Her table is older and has one of those super heavy bases, so that took some wind to topple that thing.

Sunrelax

Keep your spirits up my friends. As bad as things look at times, there is always a light somewhere. Go from strength, belief in yourself and the power of others to make you feel better.

Whether you have a big move coming, seeds to rake on a daily basis, feel under the weather, literally lose your balance in life or need to protect your kids from harm because those who you expect to don't do it, know things will always be alright, because you are who you are, showing strength in the weakest moments. And when you feel too weak, find safety in the knowledge that there are lights out there, to shine, to lend an ear or an eye and to carry you through.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone. Love you all! hf

This humidity sucks. Mid to late autumn is my favorite time. Where you continue wearing shorts, questionably, but it's getting chilly enough to wear pants, then you wait till it's too damn cold, try and find the pants, realizing you've lost them and just rock shorts and sweaters into the winter till maybe your family buys you some sweatpants for Christmas or something.

I should probably go buy some jeans for this next winter

lmao

Welp, after a day and a night of thunderstorms yesterday, tried to have a cookout with our son and his family today. The weather was hot, HUMID and just downright stifling. The kids (ages 5 and 3) were sweating, bored, tired and miserable and both ended up in melt downs. It was too hot and humid to enjoy everything I grilled. Even the macaroni salad turned lukewarm within minutes. The only nice thing about the whole day was that the humidity seemed to chase even the flies back into their holes.

Should have just stayed inside, popped in a movie and never left the couch.
