Magnitude 4.9 Region NORTHWEST OF MADAGASCAR Date time 2018-05-28 13:55:17.2 UTC Location 13.37 S ; 46.06 E Depth 40 km [ link to m.emsc.eu (secure)] Quoting: KickinIt These quakes in Madagascar (Mayotte Region) always seem to show up in the middle of the Hawaii ones. I don't remember seeing any regularly there until Hawaii kicked off.The interesting thing is the antipode to them is only around 1,000 miles from Hawaii which is pretty close on the global scale. I think Hawaii (Hilina Slump specifically) is the closest land to the antipode. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76622186 Your memory is correct. There weren't any in the Mayotte Region prior to Hawaii kicking off. P.S. The above EQ was revised to Mayotte Region
