Uh oh. Hawaii appears to have stopped. Assuming no more Hawaii quakes, I am expecting a 9.0+ to hit Japan around 6/11. Ummmm...isn’t that weird? Similar six days if this holds true. Quoting: CuriousSeeker Say what? It hasn't stopped at all. Today was back to back earthquakes until the 5.5 eruption about eight and a half hours ago. But even since then it hasn't stopped. Slowed down, but still regularly shaking with the smaller magnitudes. Quoting: Simple27 Emphasis on slow.I see one quake at 1:40 pm and another at 3:20 pm on my app and that’s it for Hawaii. Quoting: CuriousSeeker Yes, but that is typical after the eruptions. 310 total earthquakes so far just today (all magnitudes). 16 earthquakes since the 5.5 'volcanic eruption'. So yes, quite a slow down, but definitely more than just 2 since the eruption. And again, this has been the trend following these 5+ magnitude earthquakes/volcanic eruptions. : ) [ link to earthquake.usgs.gov (secure)] Quoting: Simple27 To add to this.. I have 2 EQ apps. One of them is USGS-based and doesn't show half the quakes for a given day. Much like the website. So if you were going off an app, maybe that's why you only saw a couple of Hawaii quakes.
