My best resolution and favorite sprite capture to date from this morning (6/20/2018) in the Texas panhandle. First time I have been able to capture the beading in such detail. Canon 6d 85mm F1.2 ISO 5000 2 seconds , no cropping.

I'm a little worried about that weirdness from S0's video. A few days ago I read somewhere, I think in the comment section on a video, that people were smelling sulfur in Cali. And not all of them were in the same part of Cali.

This is heading right towards me, and the tree that's down from last night's storm is still sitting precariously on the power line in my back yard. If this storm is bad enough, that might be all she wrote for my electricity. This is just a pop up storm, too. There's an ugly band marching east that's about 100 miles west of here right now.

Why hasn't the city/town removed that tree on your property, on a power line?! That didn't look good as it was, another storm is not good news for your electricity. :\

Apparently they came out to look at it, but said it had to be handled by their "forestry" division. Problem is, that will take longer and we have 2 rounds of storms this evening, plus a greater chance of storms tomorrow and Friday. I don't see why they couldn't at least move the part of the tree off the power line. It wouldn't take much to do that, it's just kinda caught up on it, but I'm certainly not going to attempt that myself. I don't care that they don't get rid of the tree immediately, but I would at least like to look out back and not see my power line being stretched to it's limit. Fingers crossed.
