Pick up some lavender scented epsom salt too, couple good soaks will do shoudler and knee some good. I used to knee issues due to hormone imbalance believe it or not. Progesterone causes loose ligaments so if its a little high in relation to estrogen it can be a problem for joints during perimenopause. This is especially the case if the pain kind of comes and goes. Its resolved since I went through menopause.

Very interesting, I have not read about this. In addition to the aches and pains, I do believe for other reasons I have a hormonal imbalance going on, and that is the main reason I made the acupuncture appointment. It's just luck that acupuncture has also proven effective for my shoulder issue.

I got the epsom salt with eucalyptus! Sounded most refreshing at the time, but I had a hard time deciding because there were so many options. Also got my turmeric, manuka honey, MSM, and some delicious sounding turmeric verbena lime tea, which I will try later tonight. The liquid magnesium I couldn't find and will have to order online. I'm also going to see if they recommend any magical Chinese herbs or teas when I go to the acupuncture place.

I wonder if a little soy milk would help with the hormones. Soy is a phyto-estrogen and could maybe balance out the progesterone.(plant based). A little bit couldn't hurt.

I was just wondering about this the other day - food based soy. I think I'm going to just start with the acupuncture and go from there. I am a big believer in it, and it's worked wonders for me in the past with different ailments. As I said to my coworker, "worst case scenario, I'll just go to the doctor". He thought that was hilarious. I guess it is chuckle-worthy the way it came out, but it's damn true. I'll try most things before I'll go to the doctor. I've even removed small moles on my arm with apple cider vinegar.

Sounds good. I love that we're all getting back to nature to figure out how to heal and be healthy.
