Hey, Simple! Sorry to hear about the flooding! It's a real pain in the back side!! And lots of work... Glad to hear the insurance company did the right thing!! And glad the wreck wasn't bad!
I agree with Isis - we are certainly being tested!
It's been cooler here for a couple of days - have really been enjoying it!
Saw pics of the rain in central TX - that area can have some monumental flash floods. News reported helicopter rescues of people in a camp ground that had to climb trees to escape the floods.
Hang in there, everyone. Sending hugs and best wishes out to everyone here!!! Sure hope the worst of the N Alaska EQs are over...just have a nagging feeling it isn't. But I've been wrong before!

Thanks for asking! Been really tired from getting slammed at work. We are a week out from a MAJOR audit by the banking commission. Glad I've only been there a few months - none of the problems will land at my feet this time. And not sure I'll be there next year for the next audit. This is a really high-stress job, and while I can do the work, I'm just not wanting to continue to try to function in such a high-stress environment every day. Grandson continues to make progress...still have to find him an AA group to go to. I'm going to find an AlAnon for me. Sure seems like this has been a summer of bad extremes - fires, floods, earthquakes, droughts, heat...jeez! Hope everyone is having a decent week...we're almost over the hump, folks! On the downhill slide to the weekend!!!! Everything seems to be going good over there, except for your job. I totally get it. My job is also high stress and exhausting. I hope you're able to find something else that's less high strung. Happy to hear your knee is no longer sore and that your grandson continues to make progress! : )
