She was a sister to you,,,I'll bet you two would have loved these,,,, Quoting: Arnie (btw, a wonderful gift for your precious lady friends,,,,think Christmas....) It's real green tea, and real flowers,,,,so drinkable... does well in a wine glass.... [link to www.amazon.com (secure)] Omg she would have LOVED that! It's funny that you chose that because she absolutely loved flowers. And gardening/planting. She would keep me on the phone for hours talking about what we should plant out front and out back. She bought me the cherry blossom tree that's out front because she knew how much I love cherry blossoms. That would have been a perfect gift for her! I love it too. I'm gonna get it! : ) Thanks Arnie ~*Ride the Wave*~ |

A terrible experience like that will never be forgotten. It might ease over the years, but it is never forgotten. Quoting: InterMezzo Then in all negative, it is encouraging to also personally witness her husband doing such a great job with their daughters. Call it survival mechanism, but it is also a sign of strength. No, it will never bring back Stephanie, but seeing that gives courage and belief that over time we are able to find our way back even in times darker than dark. And she will look down from Heaven and approve of what he is doing. It is her spirit and remembrance that makes him and the girls embrace life and in all emotions that is something to be extremely proud of. I agree with Kickin, find a moment this Sunday to remember her by life, her best, her joy, her spirit. No, that day last year will never be forgotten, but neither will she. And like Goofy said, you will see her again, some day. Till that day, let her live on in your heart and breathe through the strength her husband shows you. I said basically that same thing to him. Yeah, I did lot of searching and the only thing I can figure is if it's that quake. But I don't know how a 3.9 could originally be mistaken for a 6.4. It was all over twitter at first and everyone was commenting as if it was a sizeable quake. I checked many EQ sites and nothing. |

Simple27 (OP) User ID: 76580724 United States 09/01/2018 07:08 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | USGS Volcanoes Quoting: KickinIt August 30 at 4:13 PM · The Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) team circumnavigates the crater rim at the summit of Kīlauea Volcano, collecting data for digital elevation models that document summit changes. The volume change, from early May 2018 to present, is over 825 million cubic meters (1 billion cubic yards). The vertical collapse of the crater floor is more than 500 m (1600 ft). Limited UAS flights into this hazardous area are conducted with permission and coordination with Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park. The overflights collect visual information on changes at this site. Scientists examine the data in detail to understand how the collapse area is evolving and to assess hazards at Kīlauea's summit, all of which is shared with the National Park Service and emergency managers. The video presents clips from the survey. The UAS is traveling in a counter-clockwise direction around the rim. Anonymous Coward User ID: 72417034 United States 09/01/2018 07:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This Sunday will be the 1 year anniversary of my neighbor Stephanie's death. There's not a single day that goes by that I don't think of her, and miss her. Life is truly different without her being right next door. Without her being here, anywhere, at all. Her death was extremely hard for me. Wow...thinking about the recent deaths, there's been so damn many in the last year and a half. Too many. Quoting: Simple27 Stephanie was special. She was a true, genuine soul. I miss our talks. I miss her hugs. I will never, ever forget a single detail of the day that she died. It will forever haunt me. Traumatic is putting it gently. I watched my dear friend be taken out of her house in a body bag. I watched her husband cry his eyes out. When it all finally sank in, I sobbed. And I mean SOBBED. I hate pain. Physical pain, whatever. Emotional pain...the worst. :s27sad: Her husband is doing an amazing job with the girls. I was concerned, truly concerned for his well being, when she passed away. He has done outstanding! I feel blessed that I get to witness it. I know this Sunday is going to be so very hard for him and the girls. :s27treeheart: Thank you for sharing this post Simple. Thinking of you tremendously right now. I understand your pain (as I write this with tears running down my face)... A very close and dear friend of mine passed away 3 weeks ago at the age of 36. I love your post, and I am so glad you shared it. I will be thinking of you tomorrow. I wish I could give you a hug right now. Instead, I will share some random thoughts for you that come from my heart... :sw_2points: We always have access to the free and spectacular air show that is always going on above us. Be thankful for your sky~it shows beauty, love, and hope when we need it the most. :sw_bright-sun: Angels can touch us through the clouds, we can feel the warmth of the sun, the light of the moon, feel the softness of the breeze, the coolness of the rain, and the many images of heaven that inspire our heart and spirit. :sw_fullmoon: Remember, beautiful miracles happen when you least expect it. Sending you so much love Simple~ filled with tight hugs and positive vibes. Embrace all the wonderful moments you had with Stephanie and ALWAYS look up. Stay strong. I Love you lots! :sw_heartbeating: |
