Can't wait for our fearless leader to be re-ensconsed onto her couch. I was discombobulated all week with her being away. I'm sure she will be just as glad to be on her couch, steering this ole ship again.

Yep, it does always feel good to get back home. Especially after a less than stellar trip. I bet she's having a long day of traveling.

How you feeling these days Isis?

Great thanks to everyone for chipping in and posting all the quakes this week.

There was a lot of activity today! Even all these pop ups despite all the posting everyone did today! I was not expecting that many considering what had been posted.

In 3 days since using the new cream my fingers are nearly back to their usual selves. OH MY GOD such relief from the itching. The ITCHING. I was getting so worried.

bigD - YEAH! So glad to hear it man.

BTW, is it just me or are quakes looking mighty strange today?

S! How was the Halloween Place??
 Quoting: Isis One

It was cool! But super crowded. There's only 10 haunted houses and we got through 5 of them. Lines were SO long. Plus we had my brother-in-law's little sister with us who technically is too young to attend (you have to be 13 and she is 12) and she ended up crying in the Poltergeist house so we couldn't really keep going into more houses even if time had allowed us to. It was open til 1:00am too!

People with chainsaws, vampires, scary clowns, characters from Chucky all walking around the park. I loved it lol!! I wanted to go into every haunted house, but you would definitely need to buy the additional express pass to make that happen due to the number of people there.

I'm home safe and sound now. : )

It was a close call too! Of course, because this is how my life goes lol. We check out this morning and go to gas up the rental car before bringing it back. Get halfway to the airport when Nef realizes he doesn't have his wallet, which he had at the gas station. With his ID in it! Panic set in rather quickly. My brother-in-law called the gas station and they said no one had turned in a wallet. We drove back there and THANK GOD there really are still some good people left in this world. Someone turned it in while we were driving back there to check around on the ground. When I ran inside the little store at the gas station and asked, and the man said it was turned in, I almost burst into tears. My stress level was off the hook while we headed back there.

phew

Good stuff CS! Glad to hear it and thank YOU for recommending that I try using it on my leg! It worked! And fast. My leg looked so bad Tuesday night after the parks. It was actually sort of depressing me because I had a bad feeling that it would look like that forever. All purple and red and ugly and swollen. Yuck! Right now, you'd never even know what happened! : )

Re: Earthquake Thread ~ Always Updated
well, I am off to work. Gonna be a Frantic Friday. Lots of financial pressure going on high management level, which is really disturbing our daily business.

Since we were bought by a big group, the company I work in has gone from an outstanding, respected one with results in the black, to a grey, one of many book keeping item with the wrong jobs and negative result, ruled by distant management, playing pyramid games with money, that would normally send you to jail for the next 800 years or so. I have the feeling they secretly hired Bernie Madoff as financial adviser.

Don't get me wrong, I love my work, my company and colleagues and will keep fighting like I did for 38 years now, but we really need to get out of this strangling grip of this group or this will not end well very soon...

But...

We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and the oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our own, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.

Apologies for this early morning rant.. tomato

Tsunami hits Indonesia's Palu after strong earthquake
A strong tsunami triggered by a magnitude 7.5 earthquake has hit a coastal Indonesian city, officials say.

Waves of up to 2m (6.6ft) high swept through Palu on Sulawesi island, not long after authorities had lifted a tsunami warning.
