On this date in 1940, the Galloping Gertie bridge at Tacoma, WA, collapsed in strong winds, just months after its opening. Winds caused the evenly sized spans of the bridge to vibrate until the central one finally collapsed. Bridges are now constructed with spans of varying size.

Yes, she's doing PT and was cleared to go up and down stairs. The stupid stairs that lead up to her bedroom are really steep and narrow. They're dangerous for someone with 2 good legs. I hate going down them.

We're going to see her doc in about a half hour.

This is my fear too. Only an MRI will confirm. Hopefully the doctor orders one. I can't imagine he wouldn't.

Continued prayers for Mini. I've had a bunch of MRIs of my head, neck, and back...I've never had one of the leg. Do they put you in feet first?

MS - I know that question was for Simple but I can field that one. Yes! They put you in feet first for knee MRIs.

Very uncomfortable to keep your knee still when you have a torn quadriceps tendon.

Yep, feet first for the knee MRI and she had only gone in up to her waist.

We just got back from seeing her orthopedic surgeon and he isn't concerned that she tore it again. A lot of the swelling went down today and she had a lot of motion/range when he was examining her. Something he said would not happen if she had just torn it again last night. So all is good! She's just a little sore still, but she can at least walk today.
