She is NOT happy with the pulmonologist that I have been seeing and put in a referral to National Jewish Hospital, which is the leading lung hospital in the country. She said she believes something else is going on besides the asthma. Possibly lung/heart related. She wanted to know if the other doc had even mentioned how much weight I have been packing on and I told her only a little. It is so refreshing to actually be a person, instead of a scheduled item for 15 minutes. Even if it would not lead to improvement, people just want to feel that bond between doctor and patient and find an expert ear. I have seen it with my mom, her cardiologist didn't even look up from his screen when she visited him. Or talk above her head to me instead, like she was not there. I hate that so much and I told him that she was sitting right there and perfectly able to answer and talk herself. He looked at me like he was able to put me in the hospital right there, but he never did that again. Anyway, I do hope they now really dig into what is wrong sweetheart. It has been taken way too long and that takes a way too heavy toll on you. I admire and respect you for the strength and calm that you still carry. I know that must not be easy at all. Don't lose faith you hear? |

I think the one I was on played a role in my low potassium. Mine was called Chlorthalidone (25 mg). I pray that you're on your way to feeling better SOON! Just simple Lasix. I will be adding a potassium pill also.
