I do not envy the person/people who have to clean that up. I actually had the opposite kind of day. In fact, I walked out early and came home, I was so frustrated. Which I never, ever do. Finally feel more financially secure, but in reality I gained nothing due to the stress of the job itself. I don't know if it's worth it, it's taking a toll emotionally and physically. Boy have I been there!!!! I know paychecks are necessary, but if the stress kills you, what good was the paycheck?!? Life is too short to live in that kind of stress - been doing it for far too long. The best thing I ever did was quit my last job. If I hadn't, I wouldn't be able to keep the great-grandbaby. But more than that, I would be on a short run to another heart attack. And the stress overload was leading to major anxiety and depression. While I don't advocate quitting your job until you find something else, I would strongly urge you to consider looking for something else. Short-term financial gains kind of lose importance compared to the health issues you could end up facing if you continue in such stress. You are worth FAR more and your life should, and can be, much better. Consider this a big hug and grandmotherly advice given in great love & concern!!!!! Thanks so much Granny, that is good feedback. I've kept hoping it would get better but it hasn't, and that's with being very open with my boss about how I'm feeling (as have others, I'm not alone). Problem is, although I know he knows I'm working my ass off, he doesn't fully realize just how much work my position entails. As most leaders don't. My role could easily be split up into two full-time positions. My last-ditch effort at a potential solution will be coming soon. A coworker is going to have a new role, which will be primarily to assist me, and that should start in January. I really like this guy and we work well together so I do have hope this could be the remedy, so I will stick it out and see if it helps. If not, I will have to reevaluate at that time. I know there is a list by month that WA has posted here a few times. April is another, as you've mentioned. Good to know, I'm sure I say that list but it was just April that stuck in my head because the magnetosphere seems to go crazy that month as well.
