KickinIt User ID: 74785546 United States 12/09/2018 10:09 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | WTF, I can't find any quakes that correspond to this Quoting: KickinIt Caribbean Online Weather @C_OnlineWeather #Earthquake burst NE of #StKitts During the period Dec 6th - 4:28pm to Dec 7th - 9:50am, a burst of 54 quakes occurred NE of St.Kitts. The events were in the magnitude range of 1.2 to 4.1. There have been no felt reports thus far. [link to twitter.com (secure)] Me neither. This is bugging me so I just did a bit more searching. Can't find the quakes on other sites, and the only thing that comes up in a search are "articles" that are basically what the tweet said. Here's an example -although they added a tiny bit more text to this one. [link to caribbeannewsservice.com (secure)] ETA: This is the link to where the tweet information stemmed from. So I would think this is legit, but where the heck are the quakes? [link to uwiseismic.com] If you go to index on left and go to earthquakes/recent earthquakes, you get this: [link to uwiseismic.com] It says "earthquake burst N. of St. Kitts, and when you click on "more info" it takes you back to the prior page/article. This is weird. Last Edited by KickinIt on 12/09/2018 10:30 AM |

[link to www.volcanodiscovery.com (secure)] If you were sitting in a quiet or still spot you could potentially notice it in STL, because the epicenter was close. You probably wouldn't feel it per se, but you might notice or hear a faint rattling of something in the room. |

KickinIt User ID: 74785546 United States 12/09/2018 10:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I felt a 4+ in Oklahoma 3 years ago that was pretty cool! But it's easier to hear and feel all the booms heard here in Arnold all the time lol. Quoting: Peopleschlepper A few times in the past I have picked up on really small quakes, but at the time I happened to be sitting still in complete silence. I noticed a vibration noise and realized the picture on the wall next to me was very slightly rattling against the wall. Another time I heard a similar rattle, then saw the pulls on the ceiling fan moving. It's pretty amazing to realize you noticed the movement from such a small quake from all the way over in OK or mid KS. I will say this, my ears were ringing a lot last night and continue today. Rather strongly. May or may not be related. What's the deal with the booms in Arnold? I know nothing about this. |

I know there have been unexplained booms in the area over time, I thought maybe there was a sudden increase or something that I wasn't aware of. Thanks for the links! |

[link to twitter.com (secure)] Lots of fun things there to see at Nature is Amazing. One problem though with the planet sizes close to earth. The visual is great but the effect of the size of a mas that close to earth would be catastrophic. It would tear the earth apart.
