Lordy - I look back at this, and have to chuckle! Here I was, going off to bed and really feeling like my world was pretty calm...then, from a dead sleep at 11 pm my time, I get the call from LifeAlert that my mom has fallen, is injured, and the EMTs are nearly there. So, we get dressed asap and head into town. Spent the night at the ER. She just face-planted. Didn't hit the fireplace, or the wooden arm of the sofa. Grazed the coffee table with her jaw. And her only serious injury is a broken arm. We are blessed that she's not seriously injured!!!! She's in the local rehab hospital for maybe another 10-12 days, learning how to cope and do things one-handed.

Damn, life can turn on a dime. But it could have been so much worse!!!!! I thank God daily for keeping her safe.
