Snowfall has started! We all left work early and that was shortly after it started, so it was very light. Got home around 2 and within 1/2 hour my car was covered as was my street. They just upped the totals on the local forecasts to 8-10", however, there's this tweet:

NAM 12 Zulu run for Friday. Snow totals are up again. 18-22 inches are now visible on these models. All 4 models showing at least 12 inches somewhere between Jeff City / COMO to St Louis Area. Who is going to be the winner? #stlwx #Snowmageddon

A developing Major Winter storm over the Southern Plains will move eastward to the Southeast Coast by Sunday morning. The system will produce snow over parts of the Central Rockies/Central Plains that will taper off overnight Saturday. The system will also produce heavy snow over parts of the Middle Mississippi and Western Ohio Valleys through Saturday evening. Additionally, showers and thunderstorms will develop along the associated front over parts of the Southern Plains/Western Gulf Coast that will retreat to the Central Gulf Coast by Saturday morning. A
long the rain/snow line, pockets of rain/freezing rain will develop over parts of the Middle Mississippi Valley and the Southern Ohio/Tennessee Valleys overnight Friday into Saturday morning. The snow will expand eastward into the Central/Southern Appalachians on Saturday and into parts of the Mid-Atlantic on Saturday afternoon, continuing into Sunday.

Furthermore overnight Friday, rain will move eastward into the Tennessee Valley/Southeast that will move into the Southeast/Southern Mid-Atlantic overnight Saturday and, likewise, continue into Sunday. Overnight Saturday, areas of rain/freezing rain will develop over parts of the Southern/Central Appalachians and parts of the Southern Mid-Atlantic through Sunday morning. The snow and rain/freezing rain will produce hazardous travel conditions with this storm.

I know you got notice about this a little while ago, so I hope maybe you've had some time to come up with ideas and/or options to start exploring further? You DO have control over your life, although I know you have some obstacles and it doesn't always feel that way. You mentioned a leap of faith - you're right, maybe now is an opportunity to seize! You have infinite choices and a lot of freedom as far as where you go and what you do. No ties, no major obligations, not a lot of baggage. That is a gift, and to your advantage. Start making a list - note what you want/don't want, what's been missing for you, whether in a location or a job. If you have semi concrete ideas in mind write them down. Writing it out can help and I think things will start flowing for you if you do this. Once you feel you're gaining a tiny bit of direction (and control), I think the rest will come.

Thanks for this information about a plane going off the end of a runsay. We leave LAX at 12:05 tonight headed for Miami. If it would not be night time I probaably could see the storms over the mid west. Headed for the western Caribbean for a few days.
