Quite the colder adjustment in today's 0Z ECMWF hires run for the Northeast this weekend during the anticipated Winter storm. 10-20F colder changes means there's colder air to work with, shifting this event away from a "Rain" event to more of an "Ice" or "Snow" event.
Quoting: Luisport We got a winter storm watch alert this morning through Sunday evening. Looks like we're finally gonna get some snow!  Yes, but the real temp can be colder than forecast... its time to get ready for a snow storm and ice storm in the northeast on sunday Yep, that's what our local news is saying. Luckily it's a Sunday storm and schools are closed for the holiday on Monday so hopefully that will help keep people off the roads some.
