I'm so pissed off today.

This girl, "T" has been working with me for just under 2 months. I trained her and everything. Her last day was last week, she simply couldn't survive with the money being made there.

She texted me today - said they are giving her a 3 dollar hourly raise and she is returning to work Friday. They were really pleased with her, "numbers" in her tenure there and decided to offer her more money to come back LOL ( her numbers were good because i trained her appropriately, and my numbers were even better in November and December!!! WTF )

I seriously might just not show up tomorrow. I've been with the company 10 months. I've worked 70 hour weeks, filled in at multiple stores, learned the fios side of verizon, had great sales numbers the last 4 months... I haven't gotten a raise. Haven't gotten shit.

I've had 5 different managers throughout this time. our store has been a complete shit storm, but i've been holding it all together. 4 of the 5 managers told me they wanted to make me a "crew chief in training". But i think they were just stringing me along. you can't apply for the managing or training to be a manager title, you can only be offered those positions.

I'm glad she is getting more money, but they must really think i'm dumb as a doorknob. What should i do peoples? Should i just email the ceo and ask for a raise? Give them an ultimatum, either give me more money or ill quit immediately? I don't really wanna work for these ass hats. As much as i hate the job, i'm good at it, and i've been nothing but helpful. Feel completely disregarded and unappreciated.

Hey MoN. I totally agree with Kickin, Sim and others say about this.

From a managerial side I would add to not sell yourself short. You are someone who has great communication skills and who is a people's person (next to animals.) That is a great asset in the job that you do and you need to use that to your advantage. In my opinion you are way to kind and polite when it comes to that, but maybe I see that wrong.

So be forward in your attitude toward this. If the middle management is not someone to go to, because it only postpones what you want to achieve, skip them and go to upper management instead. You need someone with decision power, no one else.

Be respectful (as you are), but be straight forward. Tell them you are not appreciated financially enough for the job that you do. Tell them that if they really want to keep you for the company, efforts need to be made by them and fast. Ask them what they see you do in the near future. Training, job opportunities, a better position.

Do not take "we will see what we can do" for an answer. Set a deadline, like expecting a follow up early next week or so. Be in the lead. You are in charge. You have to have a mindset that it is them who need you, not the other way around. You are doing them a favor, proven by numbers, not the other way around.

And next to that, in the meantime, try to find something that really fits your heart. From a working position, because money is key too. You are your own free person MoN, no one owns you but you. And the way I have come to known you, you are able to do so much more than you are doing now. You have great qualities, are a great guy to have as a colleague or a friend and it is time you get acknowledgment and respect for that and give it to yourself as well. If you go from that belief and the positive power within, you can go far in any field. Be brave!

Sorry for the long two cents. Good luck buddy! hf
