Here is one of the many alerts we have had today: I blanked out my local school district:

In collaboration with other Denver-metro area school districts, ALL schools in ____ District will be closed on Wednesday, April 17 due to the ongoing safety concern.

All facilities and programs are closed for the day – no employees are to report.

There will be no afternoon activities or athletic competitions. We will continue to keep staff and families updated on this situation before the end of the day on Wednesday.

This all stems from one 18 year old female who is obsessed with Columbine HS shooting. She came here recently from California, bought a shot gun and plans to shoot up schools in the metro area. The local police, County sheriff's departments, state and FBI are all involved in this huge mess.

Why an 18 year old who wasn't even born when this happened is beyond understanding. The 20th anniversary is coming up on April 20, 2019. Something stinks and this might be the reason they are closing things down.

I don't have kids in school, though my son goes to a program for after HS, for disabled young adults ( that's what they call them, we still call them kids because they have that mentality) and even that was closed down.
