Hey Luis! When I was young, we were taught that only the US had tornadoes! Clearly this is not true, but does anyone else remember this? I am 62. I got the same info from the schools that I went to as well. That and very rare to occur over water which turns out to be not true. :clintyes Thanks John, I thought I was remembering clearly! So, I wonder what has changed? I think that most of it has to do with what people have seen all along but the internet makes it so that everybody can see what happens. When it may have been written in a newspaper somewhere that most people of the world could not ever read now the information is just put out there for all to see. Twitter is like a world news paper if you don't get bogged down in peoples rants. Improved communications around the world. In fact I just saw this on twitter that sums it up....
