This is the worst part of taking time off. No one covers my stuff while I'm away. Shit show for real. : ( Quoting: Simple27 It is the worst. In fact, it almost makes one not want to take time off. Which is what happened last year and why I only took 4 days off the entire year. I'm leaving town this Thursday and you'd think I'm going to be gone for 2 weeks the way I'm prepping at work. It's ridiculous, and it shouldn't be that hard. Have fun!!! Thanks Isis! It will be nice to get away. |

I could hear people in my neighborhood yelling when it happened. I actually heard that before I knew we scored, I guess I was on a delay. This is the first time in many years we've made it through the 2nd round, and we've never won the Cup, so this town is pretty much going nuts. |

I've been there once, 6 years or so back. Never seen such crowded beaches in my life. Got drunk with my friends, saw a group of dolphins so we tried swimming out to them - all of us were stung head to toe by a group of jellyfish. I don't go far into the ocean at all lol. Thigh deep is about it. I have to make sure I can run if I see something in the water haha! We had a blast! It was a much needed getaway. : ) Ah you wimp! I love standing right underneath a cresting wave - getting completely obliterated by it lol A much deserved getaway for ya I'm the same way as Simple. I don't like going into the ocean at all, but if I do, I don't go far. I just don't like the fact that there's so much stuff going on in there and I can't see most of it. I also have a weird fear of water, even though I can swim. I find it powerful and scary. I'm confident I drowned or had some sort of bad experience with water in another life. |

The gathering, called the International Academy of Astronautics Planetary Defense Conference, convenes every year with the not-so-simple task of figuring out how to save Earth from a head-on asteroid impact. Pollux is an orange-hued evolved giant star approximately 34 light-years from the Sun. It is the brightest star in Gemini and the closest giant star to the Sun. Since 1993, scientists have suspected an extrasolar planet orbiting Pollux, from measured radial velocity oscillations. The existence of the planet, Pollux b, was confirmed and announced on June 16, 2006. Pollux b is calculated to have a mass at least 2.3 times that of Jupiter. The planet is orbiting Pollux with a period of about 590 days. Castor is the second-brightest object in the zodiac constellation of Gemini and one of the brightest stars in the night sky. This object appears singular to the naked eye, but it is actually a sextuple star system organized into three binary pairs. Castor is 51 light-years away from Earth. On May 9th, let the waxing crescent moon introduce you to the constellation Gemini the Twins. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
