There was a time many years ago I used to be able to drink whatever I wanted and not have a problem sleeping. In my 20s I started having problems falling asleep so I quit drinking any caffeine after 2pm and the sleep problems stopped. For many years now I have cut myself off even earlier by 11am or so. I have 3 cups of coffee in the a.m. and only water after that. It can change rapidly over the weekend? I'm just saying your caffeine tolerance can change over time. Does it happen overnight? I assume not, but it sorta feels that way because suddenly you notice you can't sleep. It's just a thought. If you keep having trouble then at least it's an easy thing to alter and rule out as the culprit. |
