Tens of thousands without power as severe weather moves through, with heavy downpours, flash flood warning, swim hazards

"At least 25,000 customers were left without power from early morning severe weather on Sunday as the slow-moving system camped out over the Chicago area longer than expected, creating the chance of torrential downpours and hazardous swimming conditions, forecasters said."
Quoting: Luisport there were almost 500,000 without power here in Michigan,,,many last night storms. I had a large branch fall into the back patio.....trimmed it up, but the thick part will have to wait for the son tomorrow. The wind last night was something to behold, and frightening,,, :wor: Hope the tree didn't damage anything. Those storms definitely looked nasty. Derechos, in my experience, can be as damaging as tornadoes and widespread as well. I'll never forget the 2012 deracho that swept through the D.C. area.... Most intense storm i've ever been in.
