Met people from all over the world. It was the first "coffee shop" of Amsterdam we hit. It was called Blues Brothers.

I second this. It is a documentary that feeds the mindset of the average GLPer. Not that we don't know it yet.

Not going to spoil any of it, but it does show how manipulation and division through connection works. It also is a story of true heroes fighting windmills (for me there were two genuine heroes in this one.)

And even though that contributed to a feel good factor, what remains is still an uncanny image of the world we live in today.

Went to Amsterdam for my honeymoon, 1969. We went to a bar one night and it took us more than an hour to figure out we were in a gay bar. Were getting looks from the guys there and wondered if they knew we were tourists or something.

Two major typhoons are ongoing over the waters of the northeastern Pacific today! CAT4-equivalent Super Typhoon Lekima is pushing northwest of Taiwan, while the CAT3-equivalent Typhoon Krosa is nearly stationary over the open waters northeast of the Marianas.
