I'm getting concerned about the tropical disturbance just south of Hispaniola. Thunderstorm activity has significantly increased over the Dominican Republic and waters to the south this afternoon, and the shear has dropped about 5 knots, to 20 knots. Shear is forecast to drop further on Friday, and we could be looking at a dangerous flood event for Haiti and the Dominican Republic over the next three days.
