He had a big fantasy world going on in his head that involved me taking on A LOT more work, without compensation, beginning next month. Something he planned on just kind of sneaking onto my plate, but I knew more than I was supposed to (more than he knew that I knew). He was intentionally being very secretive about it whenever around me which I found very strange considering I secretly knew what was going on lol. It's kind of a long story but the short of it is that we took over one of our partners' businesses in an effort to save it. He does this a lot, and with success. This time, it was one of my accounts and he didn't even have the respect to tell me what was going on. I was literally the last one to officially find out (but again, knew through other means). He offered someone a position of general manager there which would obviously come with a raise. That somebody wanted to involve me in the huge undertaking of the merging of everything. Essentially doing the job that that person was getting the raise for. I refused. I refused to take on the additional work and explained that I cannot and why I cannot. That person never even had the respect to respond to my email which was a professional email with some personal stuff involved for explanation purposes. That email was 2 Wednesdays ago.

That's a bunch of bullshit! I can't believe that guy treats you like this after all the hard work and long hours you've given him for so many years. You deserve better, my friend.

I'm dealing with similar bullshit at my job, as far as the shadiness, lying, lack of regard, etc. I've had it and I'm trying to plot my next move. The environment has become very toxic for me, and it all stems straight from the leadership.
