My favourite new lava tree discovery created during the 2018 Kilauea eruption. Under moonlight and also lit by use of LED light painting on the lava tree. Fissure 8 crater still steaming in the background. Lava trees are amazing relics from eruptions

Latest CHS NWS disco: I think the 10"+ totals will be realized for some in the CHS Metro. Pretty well a done deal now.

Monday through Wednesday: Monday: The unseasonable strong
mid/upper low will pass to our south. Meanwhile, models are in
good agreement showing a surface low passing just off our coast.
Copious moisture remains in place across the region and that
combined with great atmosphere lift will keep ongoing rain
showers with locally heavy rain ongoing in the morning across
most of our counties. Though, across our southern counties near
the Altamaha a dry slot could bring a break or maybe even an end
to the persistent heavy rain. Regardless, models have trended
wetter and have come into surprisingly good agreement on the
location and the potential rainfall amounts, generally across
the Charleston Tri-County area. Therefore, we raised the QPF
quite a bit to reflect this. Rainfall amounts Monday and Monday
night are forecasted to be in the 5-7" range with locally much
higher amounts. Models still show some elevated instability
within this area. It`s not out of the question we could see some
10" amounts during this 24 hour period if training of
thunderstorms develops. Additionally, expect strong winds along
the immediate coast with the passage of the low.

The National Weather Service in Key West has issued a

* Flood Advisory for...
Lower Keys in Monroe County in Florida...

* Until 245 PM EST..

* At 1251 PM EST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicate
heavy rain due to frequent squalls. This will cause street
flooding in the advisory area, confirmed by local web cams. Up to
three inches of rain have already fallen and an additional inch is
possible.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Key West, Fleming Key and Sunset Key.

This includes US 1 between mile markers 0 and 4.

A flood advisory means widespread ponding of water and street
flooding in urban areas is occurring. Do not drive through water of
unknown depth.

I'm drunk and didn't eat anything today. Have off from work for the rest of the year. Had my first annual review at my job. Got a 2 dollar an hour raise and am up to 44 an hour.
