Just as well you will miss the concert Kickin', stay away from crowds. Bummer, though for you.

Haha, good point Arnie. Not a big deal. I like the band and would like to see them in my lifetime, but if I don't, it might be a bummer but I won't have "concert regret" like I do with some other artists.

A few bands I regret I never saw live, and will never forgive myself for: Beastie Boys, The Clash

I missed The Who Reunion tour in 89...still kicking myself for that one.

You know what I'm talking about Mr. S! One upside of your situation though is that you might still have a chance!

I struggle with the Beastie Boys one on a semi-regular basis. Every time I think of it I get sick to my stomach. I am a HUGE Beastie Boys fan, from day 1 in 1986 until their last album in 2011. They put out a really good instrumental album in their later years ( [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] They did a tour for that album, first in a while, and as usual there weren't a ton of dates. I considered going to see them on one of their dates in L.A. One of my BFFs lives there and I preferred to go to with someone who loved them as much as I do. It was on a Wednesday so I was looking at a very quick trip because I didn't have much vacation time. At the time I recall I was also reluctant to spend the money. The flight and the concert ticket altogether weren't cheap and finances were a lot tighter at the time. I debated about it for a few days until I had to make a decision, and I begrudgingly talked myself into being responsible and not spending the money. I remember calling my friend to tell him, and saying "I have a feeling I might end up regretting this". This was 2007. MCA was diagnosed with cancer just a year or two later. They did only a couple of random shows in '09 and then never played again due to MCA being sick. And of course, MCA died in 2012, and my dream of seeing them died with him. He was my favorite of the 3, too. If I could kick my own ass, I would.

Do me a favor, go see The Who! They are touring this year. Not many US dates, but perhaps the Kentucky show might be an option? They also might add more dates as time goes on. Save this link and keep an eye on it.

When all of my medical problems started, I acquired some mobility issues and, truth be told, I HATE getting into large crowds. I get VERY anxious...I'd have to take a bunch of happy pills to even get me into the venue.

It is cool that they are still touring...with 2 original members even. The tickets aren't terribly priced...maybe I'll think on doing this for personal growth.
