It may not have worked for your niece for whatever she has going on right now, but it works. There is no miracle solution for everything. I think you have to take it immediately upon noticing first symptoms. It took me years to learn to recognize then act on initial symptoms. My tendency was to not notice til way into being sick. Then I’d still not do anything for a some time. Training myself to be more proactive took a while, sadly. Spread the word, change the collective conscious...... Isis One User ID: 76795039 United States 02/25/2020 01:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, good _____ evening everyone! Hope your day was decent! Quoting: justanothergranny Been very busy around my house - we have been buying all the supplies we need to fix the fence around the back of the property, and got the building materials ordered online or purchased locally to fix up the chicken house. All of my chickens except for 5 that range free around my house were killed or taken off by feral cats or foxes. I wasn't going to get any more chickens, but with the concerns about the virus I decided we needed to have the self-sufficiency of having fresh eggs. So, 26 baby chicks were delivered Friday and we need to get the fencing and roof of the chicken house fixed in the next couple of weeks. Plus, I've purchased fresh seeds, and ordered quite a few from Heritage Seed Co. I'll be starting seed flats on the patio soon. But we are also making plans to get the supplies we need to re-do the greenhouse. Our homestead is back on track!! Good report granny! Spread the word, change the collective conscious...... It has been scientifically proven also, for colds / flu. As it turns out, a handful of scientific studies show that chicken soup really could have medicinal value. The most widely cited of these studies, published in the medical journal Chest in 2000, is by Dr. Stephen Rennard of the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. He conducted laboratory tests to determine why chicken soup might help colds, beginning with his wife’s homemade recipe, handed down by her Lithuanian grandmother. Using blood samples from volunteers, he showed that the soup inhibited the movement of neutrophils, the most common type of white blood cell that defends against infection. Dr. Rennard theorizes that by inhibiting the migration of these infection-fighting cells in the body, chicken soup essentially helps reduce upper respiratory cold symptoms. It may not have worked for your niece for whatever she has going on right now, but it works. There is no miracle solution for everything. I’m sorry but I believe this to be false unless of course you took some and you can verify which I highly doubt The week of/before my cousin's wedding a couple of years back I had come down with a nasty cold that wasn't improving. Bought a bottle of elderberry syrup and took some multiple times per day. A few days later I was completely fine. Cough and runny nose were gone. No symptoms at all. I was shocked by how well (and fast) it worked. There were 2 sets of directions for taking it on the back of the bottle. One was for daily use and one was for while sick. While sick the dose is quite frequent, multiple times per day. I think it was every couple of hours. Once I make my own I will definitely take it daily as a preventative from any nasty cold/virus. Wish I had made some last year that could be taken now. ~*Ride the Wave*~ |
