Went by Costco this morning about 9:30. Parking lot was packed but I finally found a place to park. Got a cart from someone that just got back to there car. Walked up top the entrance and a Costco employee took my cart and said that they would give me one when I entered the store. He told me that the line was over there. Looked at the line along the whole side of the building and decided not to go in. Went back to the car and drove by the entrance where the line went around the building to the back side. So the line was along two sides of the Costco building. Canceled my trip to Costco.

Then decided to go by Smart and final on the other side of town. got there and found a parking space then finally found a cart. The ones at the entrance were all gone. Went into the store and no T paper or paper towels. Can good isle was sold out as well. Got a handful of items and left the store.

Decided to go to the Walmart in the town where I live to see what I could find. OMG The entire cereal isle was empty as well as the can goods and all deli meats and all of the cheeses. All water and paper goods were gone as well. No potatoes or beans or rice to be found anywhere.

One more store to try Save Mart. Drove there and the same No potatoes or beans or rice and the can good shelves were empty.

What day today has been.

In my opinion governments should mandatory order the private and public sector to postpone all life threatening bills like rent, mortgage, tax and energy if people can not afford it anymore. It should be part of the bail out plan to protect their people.

Of course this is going to cost many, many trillions and the question is if we ever get out of that economic crisis, but they need to choose for lives instead of livelihood.

Except the ones who released this virus, no one can be blamed for the effects it has on our society and personal lives. So it would be inhumane to punish them for it.

And yes, I know I am naive.

The weather is beautiful here today in Holland. Spring is upon us. Nice temperatures and plenty sunshine the coming days as well.

I went for a bike ride through the area and along the river. When you feel and experience that, it reminds you that there is still so much beauty around us, despite the dangers that surround us.

Just as a reminder that when you have the chance, try to detach from all that doom around us once in a while and take a ride across the area. Sit down, close your eyes and breathe in. Doesn't that just feel great?

This picture, from me to you, is to let you know that in the end we will always be alright, no matter what.. Always.

It's a beautiful, sunny day here today (although much cooler than the past several days).

Mini and I got into a blowout last night. She completely lost her shit because I wouldn't let her boyfriend stay over and wouldn't let her go stay at her grandparents' house for the night. I mean LOST it. It was interesting to observe really. But it got to the point where I became concerned about her blood pressure and how worked up she was. I told her that, and she seemed to calm down afterwards but stayed in her room for the rest of the night.

Today has been better. She's playing group Uno live on her phone with 3 of her friends and that seems to be keeping her content for the time being. I know this won't last long unfortunately.

I asked if she wanted to take that ride with me to the beach and she did. That made me really happy. : )

Store was quiet to moderate , stocks of good food (Luxury) was ok , Washing up liquid shelves were ok , only one hairspray left on stand (which was lucky because Mum only wanted a bottle), Frozen foods and Fresh Fruit and veg were ok, stacks of potatoes good! Aisles empty: Bog Roll , Baby products , Women’s stuff (awkward) lol, and no medicines left , except one box of Solpadeine (Non-codeine)...

Off-licence was a bit grim as well... Shortage of Vodka ,,, AND... GUINNESS!!!

Loved the social distancing and disinfection methods though!!!
