Over a week ago i told someone i love, "what if the president told us during a press conference an asteroid was on the way" ( while everyone would be expecting corona news )
I said it jokingly but when i said it i felt weird about it. Now on the boards we have posts about asteroids and comets on the way. Just thought that was really weird. On top of that, i was driving down 95 around 10 p.m. 2 nights ago and saw a HUGE meteorite that lasted almost 2 seconds.
I don't know. But i have my eyes to the skies now.
Especially with the brightening comet named C-2019 ATLAS that could put on a hell of a show in a couple months....

What would a lockdown accomplish with an incoming asteroid?  Just thinking out loud here. If the nation is locked down, then you don't have people scattered all over the place who need help and are away from home. If they are locked down, if something major happened, they are in their own space, their comfort home, a place where they usually have food and water and shelter. If the nation is locked down, people aren't scattered between, home and school and work. No one on vacations hundreds or even thousands of miles from home. But...it's not just this nation. If this were asteroid-related, it would mean they have ZERO clue where the potential impact would be, based on current locations outside of the US, plus the US, that are in full blown lockdown or soft lockdown. And I truly don't believe regular citizens would be given any form of advanced warning for asteroid doom. That's bunker doom. Not stay at home, miss work, close schools, etc. doom. Idk, it just makes no sense to me. Has Astro chimed in on any of the asteroid threads?
