Been a fan of glp for a long time ..never felt the need to post until today. I noticed the reports of the quake in Cali ,and Croatian capital this afternoon and reported here as well. I'm no expert on earthquakes ..obviously I knew Cali has major fault lines ..but just found out Croatia does as well. Do you know based on the depth and reported magnitude of the very recent Cali quake (considering they have many quakes) is this anyway more significant or leading than yr average quake out there based on the info given? Thanks in advance I just noticed the 4.8 Cali quake had the depth changed to 20km - a bit deeper than they initially said. This is a precarious location fault-wise, so any quake there should be paid attention to. But a quake of this size there isn't all that strange, so it's not necessarily a sign of anything bigger to come. Plus, that 5.7 in Utah the other day might've sparked some movement. Also, I just noticed if you look at the epicenter of that UT quake, it's almost a straight line east from where the Cali quake occurred.
