There has been a lot of seismic activity in the lower magnitude range recently, except in the North Pacific / Alaska. This could be an indicator of upcoming large seismic activity along the US West coast in the short term.

Now that there is a glimmer of blue skies at the horizon again, I thought this is the right time to post some more pictures of my bike ride this week. This time from the other side of the river..

The last picture I took yesterday in the town where I was born. It is a stork's nest. Usually every year they return to this nest to give birth. In this picture I guess father stork is out chasing food.. (I assume they don't need toilet paper.)

Very pretty! Man, that stork's nest is HUGE! Birds around here are building nests like crazy. When I get up in the morning there's always a ton of twigs all over the place. Since I'm home 24/7 I've been watching the birds even more than usual. The robins are no longer afraid of me like they used to be, which is kind of interesting. They practically come right up to me and stare like they're saying hello. And there's a damn one-eyed squirrel that's trying to destroy the maple tree in my backyard. He's always up in that tree pulling off the leaf buds and eating them! Yesterday I saw the bastard going to great lengths to reach branches he couldn't otherwise - crawling across a power line, then jumping and hanging off a branch until he got a little cluster of barely-there leaves. It's a younger tree so many of the branches are not sturdy and he's broken several off. It's pissing me off! It's always the same squirrel - the others don't do it. I know it's the same one because he's one-eyed. He's angry and bitter because of that one eye, hence he's taking it out on that tree. That's my assessment.

Uncle just talked to the doctor. He said papa is still stable and his vitals are good. My uncle said the doctor sounded more optimistic today. : )

You totally misinterpreted what was said by WA and Simple. And maybe WA meant it different when she said it killed some. But how can you react with those memes to people you know so well, of which one has even a dear family member in ICU. Very, very insensitive!

Just for your information and with all respect, but I reported your posts as abusive, because I think you really went across the line here. And even in bold typing. Maybe you should think some more before you post these hurtful replies. No need for them at all. You could have asked in a normal way what they meant.

And maybe Sim can delete WA's post, so those posts are cleaned up. Just my two cents.

It's okay. We should be supporting each other and not get so aggressive. We don't have to agree with each other or be even friends, but I always thought of this thread as one where we could discuss in an adult way. And this was really out of my kind of norm, but maybe that's just me.

I am going to make a quick clarification. The use of the word "some" was taken wrong.

People are dying by the thousands. On that we all agree.

I just don't agree with the reporting of the numbers and believe they are being skewed. Why, God only knows. Just compare the normal deaths in the world daily and then compare it with what should be the added numbers of Covid-19. When you look at those two comparisons, that was all I have been pointing out.

This said......have at it all.

PS to add - I have way too much going on in my life and family to deal with attacks on this forum. It hurts and my life is hurtful enough.
