Zeke38 User ID: 77052010 United States 04/10/2020 10:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We have snow coming in Sunday after a wonderful week here in the 70's. Gotta love Spring time in Colorado. We hit 90 degrees yesterday and the day before! Broke records. I was reminded how much I hate summer. Then a cold front blew in last night and today upper 50s, where it will stay for a week or so. I was lucky to score a N95 mask and yesterday I took it to grab a few things from the store. Mind you, it was 90 degrees. I cannot begin to explain how uncomfortable that thing was! I could barely breathe with it on - had to rush my shopping because I thought I was going to pass out. I could feel it getting all hot and sweaty inside. It was awful, I couldn't wait to rip it off when I got out of there. Then a throbbing headache set in as a result, and didn't go away until I slept it off last night. Of course, I freaked and wondered if it was an early virus symptom, and found myself taking my temperature late last night (it was normal). Anyway, now they have a rule here as of today you have to have some sort of face covering to go into the store. I either need to find another option, or just go with the ol' bandana/bandit look. I simply cannot breathe with that thing on, and I am stumped at how healthcare workers spend all day in one. I don't get it. Maybe mine isn't as good of quality? Good mornin' KI! Been away from GLP for about a week so just catching up. I had stocked up on some N95 masks in Feb and wore one of them for the first time this week on a Kroger run. Though it's the regular adult size, the bands were so tight that the material was mashed against my nose. My glasses were steaming up and I felt like I was in a sauna. When I got back to the truck, I couldn't rip it off fast enough. Left band impressions along my cheeks for a while. Will be going the bandana route from here on out. A couple months ago, I purchased 3% food grade peroxide on Amazon and have been inhaling it on occasion using a fine mist sprayer. This is a technique that has been employed for years and I feel better doing it. Maybe it’s just a placebo effect, but it brings some peace of mind when I get back from the store. The kids think I'm a little nuts though. Interesting note: Vitamin C causes your body to produce hydrogen peroxide which is known to eradicate this virus. During the Spanish flu, thousands of soldiers were made well via intravenous hydrogen peroxide. Stay well! And have a blessed Good Friday! “And he brought them out and said, 'Sirs, what must I do to be saved?' So they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.'" Acts 16:30-31 |

How in the hell do people work in those things? Or do anything? I had to laugh about how tight it was. I threw it on before I went in the store and didn't check the mirror as to how it looked. When I came out, I saw it was so tight my cheeks were puffing out in between the bands. I looked ridiculous! And yes, the bands left marks. Bandana it is! I like the peroxide idea. I've been drinking one of those EmergenC packets about every other day or whenever I think of it. I figure it can't hurt. I also have Vit. C in my daily vitamins. Another thing to take is Lysine. I take a 500mg capsule daily. It's an amino acid and is anti-viral. |

I laid there on my phone still checking things until late. BUT, I slept well and didn't wake up until 8:30 (that's good for me these days). I also slept like crap the night before, so that might've helped my cause. |

InterMezzo User ID: 45716769 Netherlands 04/10/2020 01:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have been following the magnetosphere discussion with great interest, even though I am a total noob when it comes to all that stuff. The images, the explanations, it is still a big algebra soup for me. But.. I do try to translate them to life as it is, also for me. I can’t recall ever having the electricity and intensity of dreams I have experienced in the past couple of weeks. Energy spikes, looming headaches, but overwhelmingly positive power and determination. I know I do excel better in crisis situations (wished employers would notice as well), but most of the times I feel that nothing can touch me or us. Maybe that is why I also speak up so strong against negative discussions. Fuck negative energy. This also triggers the investigator in me and I came across the study of the Rök Runestone. Apparently this discussion has been fired up again the past months, maybe connected to the year 2020. It is a study that holds the theory that the Rök Runestone is about climate change, a end of the world scenario fight between the moon and the sun, rather than a tribute of a father for a fallen son. A battle between dark and light, warmth and cold, life and death. Ragnarök, Battle of the Gods. Makes you wonder: Was Netflix in on this? (<- joke.) Here is an interesting article that describes this study in noob language (my kind of language): [link to www.nzherald.co.nz (secure)] From the article: "A powerful solar storm coloured the sky in dramatic shades of red, crop yields suffered from an extremely cold summer and later, a solar eclipse occurred just after sunrise. Even one of these events would have been enough to raise fears of another Fimbulwinter." Eclipses and extreme winters featured prominently in Norse mythology: in particular, they were part of the tale of Ragnarök – a cataclysmic battle of the gods prophesied to bring about the end of the world. Ragnarök told of the giant wolf Fenrir swallowing the Sun. In the process, the sky turned blood-red and sunlight "black" – and humanity fought a valiant last stand for survival. The study document itself, The Rök Runestone and the End of the World can be found here, in a 32 pages pdf: [link to uu.diva-portal.org] And for those who are more visually oriented [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] And of course, to show both sides of this discussion, a debunk theory as well [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] So from my unrestrained imagination, I connected the dots between the whole magnetosphere discussion and this Rök Runestone theory. Is there a connection? I really would not know. Most likely not, or..? I just thought it would offer an interesting angle to it. For those who don’t have Netflix and want to watch the Ragnarök show [link to fmovies.to (secure)] Synopsis: In the small fictional town of Edda coming of age people are forced to respond to climate changes. The ice caps are melting at a rate no one had anticipated. People go through long periods of drought. The winters are too warm. More and more frequently, people experience extreme cold bursts. In all ways extreme weather conditions. The world is changing, and some might claim that we're heading towards a new Ragnarok. Unless someone intervenes in time. Apologies for the long two cents post. |
