Brazil with record growth in the number of deaths from Covid-19

Brazil became the eleventh country in the world to surpass the three thousand deaths by Covid-19. According to data released by the country's Ministry of Health, 3,313 fatalities have already been confirmed, of which 407 were recorded in the last 24 hours. This is a record value in daily deaths.

Across the country, there are now 49,492 confirmed cases of people infected with the coronavirus, 3,735 more than the day before.

The record in the number of victims comes on the day that the Osvaldo Cruz Foundation, a Brazilian institution of reference in the control of epidemics, explained that deaths caused by the coronavirus have doubled on average every five days.
In Italy and Spain, two European countries severely affected by the pandemic, the rate was at eight days.
