Some may remember the tree breaking off from strong winds we got a few weeks ago.

Well, the electric company had been putting in new lines, they are buried lines, under the ground and it has been 30+ years. The city forester came out and told us we needed to cut down out 100 year old elm tree, that it was too damaged. At the time, we thought the electric people had told the city they didn't think the tree was safe because of a lot of dead branches up there. He told us we had 30 days.

So we called in several people for bids on two said they could save the tree. One was selected and work was started. It was then that the nightmare began. We learned it was not the electric company who complained by our next door neighbor who is a complete bully and jackass who thinks everyone should do as he says. Oh great, neighbor wars is all I could think. He got up a bit on the fence and started yelling at the tree crew that the city had ordered that tree down and he wanted that f-ing thing down or he was f-ing calling the cops. Lots of yelling and screaming and cussing continued by all in the backyard.

Knock knock knock - cops at our door. Civil matter, told us not to speak to them......duh!

Knock knock knock - city forester back. Stated a third party expert would come out and give their opinion on the tree. More stress on us and more money out.

Next day, we have a bunch of men in the backyard all saying different things, some saying the tree has to come down (there is a split in one of the 3 trunks - it grew weird - where lightning hit at some point in time) and others saying it can be saved easily with bolting and cabling to allow the tree to finish healing, something it has already been doing.

We were suppose to have been notified by yesterday afternoon or early this morning. Still nothing.

The Jackass (that is his name to us) keeps going in his backyard and bitching to anyone around in a loud drunken voice about how horrible we are for not taking this tree down like he told us to do 11 years ago. Once my husband hollard at me and said it was nice how much this tree thing is costing us - several thousand dollars at this point that we don't have - and those who bitch about it should actually be the ones who paid for the ___damned thing!

Stress is climbing and still the city hasn't called and the stress is going higher. Had to borrow money to get this done and now it looks like it is going to cost us several MORE thousand! Hey, it doesn't matter that my husband still hasn't found a job because of the Chinese bat bug.....grrrrrrrrr
