Coming over within the next hour and hanging out for a few hours, then heading home well before midnight. That's how we roll. I've actually had to be honest with myself that I may not even make it until midnight for the first year ever! I think I may have turned that corner. I'm so tired all the time due to my sleep issues that staying up until midnight isn't an easy feat these days. Although I did it last night, but probably fell asleep at 12:05. It snowed here in the SoCal mountains this morning about 3 inches. Now it is mostly gone though.  Yeah, I think it's going to be nasty. Mid MO and KC areas will be worse than us, but heck, a quarter inch of ice (if we get it) can cause a lot of problems. Hopefully no problems with power lines! That's nice you had some snow. Sometimes the quick-melt is the best kind - doesn't cause problems or interfere with anything. |

I never drink anything caffeinated after 12 noon or so. I've been like that for a long time. I figured out in college that afternoon sodas, coffee etc. was keeping me up at night, and so I stopped all caffeine after my morning java and never looked back (also quit drinking soda in that process, which wasn't intended but happened). |

Well, we did - about 25 miles NE of here! Turns out there were at leat 3 EQs north of Stanton, TX today. But I didn't feel any of them. We got about 2 inches of snow today. If the flakes had been bigger, we'd have had 5 or 6 inches! Roads are not bad now, but may get that way as we get closer to midnight. We'll be having a quiet evening, just me & hubby. Nothing special, but definitely having some black-eyed peas! And will probably do them as Hoppin John. One of our favorite veggie side dishes. And will be yelling Jumanji just at midnight.
