Got a call that showed to be grandson yesterday afternoon. BUt, it was a deputy on the other end, telling me that they had found grandson passed out in his truck on the side of the road. Ambulance was called because they couldn't rouse him. Talked to EMt who said they had him on a gurney and had given him NarCan to counter the drugs. Had also done pin sticks for pain response. His eyes were open but no response. They took him to the ER. We went and got his truck, which was dead. He'd been passed out for an hour & a half in his truck. Ran over a mailbox, but no wreck. He evidently passed out while driving. Cops did not search his truck, but advised we do so and get rid of anything suspicious.

Got to ER, and his step dad said he had finally come around a bit but tried to bite the nurse. Cops called again. They searched his clothes and found meth and some other stuff. They took drugs but left & did not arrest him. The ER was so busy that they released him even though he was still mostly unconscious. Had to have him carried into house when we got home. Dr said he had pot & xanax in his system - and had no idea how much xanax, but it was considered an OD.

He slept all night & woke up very clear-headed, and very repentant. He had a dream that God got him up and asked him if he had decided what he was going to do. It scared him. God showed him scenes of us living without him, and of his funeral. He saw himself in the ground. It totally shook him up. So, we're starting over again. He wants to do some serious counselling, and wants to find a church.

I'm just grateful that he didn't wreck and didn't die from the drugs. He admitted doing some hard stuff again. God must really have some big purpose for him, to have given him so many chances!

Thanks to all for your prayers. Y'all are the best! I'm heading to bed. It's been a hard, but ultimately good, week. Now if the shtf this weekend, that would just about round out the week!!! lol

Thank goodness he's ok! How scary for you all. Glad to hear this frightened him enough to want to reach out for different types of help. Sending strength to him, I hope this is a turning point that will stick for the long term.
