That sucks for Arizona and Mexico. And all these horizontal wells around Midland and the Permian Basin have huge flares that burn off the natural gas the wells produce because there aren't enough pipelines, processing plants or storage for all the gas. If all the ecology nuts hadn't shut down new construction - the fed regulations are mind-boggling to get pipelines, plants, etc. - we could be heating and powering a lot of homes and businesses. Instead we have huge "birthday candles" as my daughter used to call them, burning all over the country side. We as a species can be pretty dumb and short-sighted sometimes.
