Oh the difference a few hours makes! Grandson didn't ever make it home that night. In fact, he wrecked his truck, got arrested for DUI (no breath test given), and in the commotion his dog got out of the truck and ran away. She's a registered support animal, and we've had her since 2013. He's literally so depressed! I am too. I am feeling so used up - not much left in me to be strong.

Anyway, have several pages to read to catch up. Hope all are well...will check in again after reading.

Thanks Arnie - not sure what caused grandson to go sideways. Pretty sure he must have found some "leftovers" in his truck and couldn't resist taking it. He has little memory of the day or the wreck. Didn't even realize the dog had taken off. About had a complete breakdown the next day when we picked him up at the jail and had to tell him the dog had not been taken to animal control and we had no idea where she was.

I am emotionally spent. Feels like nothing in reserve. Would like to take a strong sleeping pill, lay down, and sleep for a week. Or more.

Is your dog chipped or tattoed? If you have a good picture, post it on your fb page and the city's community pages. Call the shelters and vets in your area, too.

Years ago my 2 big boys took off together. I hounded everyone I could think of. They finally came home almost a month later.

Unfortunately, I did and you do live in the big wide open. Lot's of room for a dog to roam and not be seen. Try putting up posters in the feed stores and coops. Doggo will go somewhere to get a drink and some food. Farmers will watch out for him.
