I was using this image as a reference for the location  Looking at the pic, the left gastro muscle hurts the most. [imgur] [link to imgur.com (secure)] I have some crutches here if I need to move around a lot. And I can limp without them, although it hurts a lot. I just really didn't want to go back to work limping. Idk. I have an unrelated appointment on Monday with my hematologist. I'll ask his opinion on what I should do.  What's throwing me off is the visual bruising. I've pulled a calf muscle and it hurt like hell, but there wasn't any bruising (swelling, yes). I think that's a good idea to ask your Dr. about it on Monday. In the meantime, heat followed by ice and as Caps said, try to stay off it as much as possible for a few days. THAT'S UH, DR. Nice wheels, good luck with it and prayers for healing the calf! My car is a 1997 (almost classic) Ford Crown Victoria; it just never quits; a repair here and there and it's good to go. And only 97,000 miles on it, (because I have no life) and kept in garage always, so it is truly an old-lady jewel of a car. The kids say they will get me a car, but I adamantly refuse.  You're doing it right! Eventually (sooner than later) I'm going to stop doing leases and just finance something so that one day I won't have ridiculous car payments. So that's two of us limping around (mine getting better slowly), and you will heal up in time if you favor that leg and don't overdo it. Mine is some kind of tendon/ligament or something upper leg that snaps occasionally when I'm getting up from a chair. And then persists.
