Couple weeks I stubbed my toe; big deal, nothing. But it hurt like hell and toe was bruised, left foot, second from pinkie, so at least not on my gimp leg side.
Still, just a stubbed toe. Couple days later I get up, and notice that the entire top of my foot is black. It really didn't help matters that seeing images of gangrene on the web, kinda' meant that it would soon spread up to my knee, and I would need an above-knee amputation. Decided to file under God will take care of this and went on my way. Several days later, the color had turned a ghastly greenish / yellow all over the top of my foot. WTAF
THEN to top it off, I get a virus or something that locked up both calves / inflamed / pain to walk. So even further behind on the chores, etc. This lasted about 5 days. I've had muscle viruses before, so since I hadn't done anything that would stretch these muscles, assumed it was a muscle virus.
Now, today, all is well, except the stubbed toe still slightly hurts.

Holy cow Arnie, that's scary! Thank god it's looking better, otherwise I'd say head over to urgent care. Maybe you broke a little bone, that might explain the bad bruising. As long as it's improving though, that's all that matters. Don't worry about the chores, they'll always be there anyway.

Unfortunately, St. John’s Wart isn’t good for prolonged use. And I am much more a fan of getting my muscles to relax with cyclobenzaprine. :)

The pain I can suck it up. No matter what I try.... I have never managed to get my muscles to calm down on their own.

Tylenol and IB never worked.... only on fevers, cramps of the lady kind, or tooth aches.

Oh Arnie, I'm so sorry you were in so much pain! Happy to hear most has resolved.

CC, have they ever put you on Cymbalta? If so, did it help?

Some years back, when I was first diagnosed with FM, I ended up being maxed out on Gabapentin, Cymbalta and Lyrica. With each increase, the pain got worse. They even sent me to pain management for stronger drugs. Thankfully, I had to see a psychologist first and he passed away before my second visit.

I took myself off all of them. All I did was sleep all the time. It's just me, but I'll never take them again. Not a doctor.
