Which might explain how I feel today, although it's also been a very long, stressful day. are you still working from home? I know things are slower getting back to normal there. Things here are much more back to normal, but I'm still working from home part of the time. Which is nice and I hope never changes. Yea I felt hungover for no reason the last two days while it was blacked out. I now know why haha. Stilllll working from home, not that I am all that mad about it. We opened back up yesterday, but CA OSHA went back on their plans to get rid of distancing and mask rules for offices, which were also supposed to go away yesterday....so here we are. No idea why they postponed it. I'll also be doing the hybrid approach. My agency offered to let us go back full time, stay home full time, or a combo of both. So that's really nice. The bad news is nothing lasts forever. The good news is nothing lasts forever. |

I do worry that you said it was an open casket. IMO that is never the way to remember a loved one. One of my high school friends who died in the same way had an open casket and that was my 1st experience w/that at the time, and it wasn't good, especially since it looked nothing like him due to injuries. To this day if I attend a wake w/an open casket I will go, but I stay at the far end of the room so I don't see the person. I sure hope Mini's experience isn't like mine was. |

Didn't even hurt nor blister. I ran around on concrete and asphalt that was hot enough to fry an egg, seriously. Our cool thing as kids, was to put "stitches" in our feet by pulling thread with a needle. Never ever drew blood and it was actually hard to push the needle through the skin. Now, even slightly warm hurts, rofl Quoting: Yeah WhiteAngle ! Back in the 40's, poor folk couldn't afford shoes for the kids, we always had mis-fitting hand me downs with holes in the bottom. The rich kids had Buster Brown shoes, new all the time. In the spring we would start going barefoot, and the callouses would build up on our feet; we could run on rocky surfaces, no problem.
