Some good info in this article regarding super deep quakes. Long article, below is just a small fraction from the intro.

Deepest earthquake ever detected struck 467 miles beneath Japan in 2015 in the layer of our planet where scientists have long thought earthquakes impossible

One spring evening six years ago, hundreds of miles underground, our planet began to rumble from a series of peculiar earthquakes. Most of Earth’s temblors strike within a few dozen miles of the surface, but these quakes stirred at depths where temperatures and pressures grow so intense that rocks tend to bend rather than break.

The first jolt, which struck off the coasts of Japan’s remote Bonin Islands, was recorded at magnitude 7.9 and up to 680 kilometers (423 miles) underground, making it one of the deepest quakes of its size.

Then another oddity emerged in the cascade of aftershocks that followed: a tiny temblor that, if confirmed, would be the deepest earthquake ever detected.

The ultradeep quake, described recently in the journal Geophysical Research Letters, is estimated to have struck some 751 kilometers (467 miles) beneath the surface in the layer of our planet known as the lower mantle, where scientists have long thought earthquakes unlikely, if not impossible. While there have been hints of lower mantle quakes before, researchers have struggled to pinpoint them within this layer of the Earth.

It is weird how they focus on a few specific quakes. I also question what that means for the many other super deep quakes we've seen. I need to read it again, I read it in a rush earlier when I came across it.

I still say that has to be a typo. Because going back to 2004 there are 63 quakes at a depth of 700km or more. Except for that one linked above, none are listed deeper than 750km. And the majority of the 63 are at exactly 750km so that must be the greatest depth current devices can register (as we've discussed). Which means many of those listed as 750 are even deeper than that!

What bugs me is that the article doesn't talk like there's 63 of these mega-deep quakes since 2004, they act like it's only happened a few times.

A lot of them are basically under islands (mostly south pacific), but many spots in South American get super deep quakes like this too.

Trying Kratom for pain relief for my back. Already feeling benefit from it and its only been a couple hours. I'll post more about it later, but I noticed a relaxing effect, and no pain in my SI joint, and it has been sore! I took 4 pills over an hour apart, and they are half gram capsules. From info I read, 6 to 8 capsules a day would be the dosage, so I am impressed.

Keep in mind that this is a side view of the cider cone / volcano.

My opinion:
Also the 2 visible vents, ash plume source, and the major S02 gas emission source are all part of this cinder cone / volcano that has formed out of the fisher that goes along the ridge of La Palma island. The lava flow keeps migrating up from below with no end in sight. More and more earthquakes representing more lava movement. This thing will go on for months maybe even a few years. Check the previous history of eruptions and see for your self.
