Happy Thanksgiving to all! Even if this day is not going to be how you'd ideally like for whatever reason - distance, arguments, money, grief, illness, etc., remember you are not alone. Everyone is missing something/someone today, no holiday is "perfect". I hope all of us are successful today in focusing on the blessings in our lives, no matter how big or small.

For the first time since the eruption of the La Palma volcano, we have seen this image: a source of lava that comes out with force from the effusive mouth of the volcano. This new contribution has caused an overflow on the slope.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO MY EQ FAMILY !

Granny, prayers for your sister, and also for little Jackson.
And all to enjoy all the blessings of love and family.

I attempted to make stuffing from gluten free bread cubes; omg, disgusting, so into the trash with it. wtf
But did manage a very good g-f lard crust for the apple pie.

Much love.

Yeah, cooking with new things is hit and miss!

I have been using augason farms powdered eggs in recipes with great success. So I had ordered their powder scrambled eggs…

Oh fresh hell… they are disgusting. But I think it might be my preparing skills. Going to try a few more times then try them in baking to see if they do better.

I am about 50/50 western PA and SE GA. Up there it's puh-caan, down here it's pea-can, but everywhere I've been it's sir-up. Even down here with that nasty-ass cane syrup...sir-up.

Most people from here say sir-up, however, I have a few friends who grew up here who say seer-up so that must come from their parents? One of my good friends who says seer-up says it on purpose to annoy me all the time, lol

You'd be surprise the weird local dialect we have here. Thank god I didn't pick any of that up, likely because my parents were both from elsewhere. One example is "warsh" instead of "wash". "Farty" instead of "forty". Basically adding in R's where they don't belong. It's ridiculous, and this is local STL speak only, not MO as a whole. It's an odd phenomenon. I do have a strong midwestern twang, however. At least that's what outsiders tell me.

lmao

I have a few that I move in and out of. And if I get flustered or upset my southern draw comes out big and bad.
