(Saturday's in the fall are the best Saturday's of all) The Third Saturday in October hasn't been much of a rivalry lately. Alabama and Tennessee have met every year since 1944 (didn't meet in 1943 due to WWII). The Crimson Tide have won the last six meetings, and they haven't been close. The average margin in those six games is 23.2 points, and only one (in 2009) was decided by single digits. Alabama is No. 1 again, nothing new. In fact, since the start of the 2011 season, Alabama has been ranked No. 1 in the AP poll 21 times. That's more than all other teams combined. |

(Saturday's in the fall are the best Saturday's of all) "With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things." William Wordsworth And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe—the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God. John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address Lincoln's economic advisor Henry C. Carey explained the universal issue in his 1851 Harmony of Interests: "Two systems are before the world.... One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other ... the American system, for ... elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world." "Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former." - Albert Einstein |

I hope they make it to the championship game so that Jameis and his boys can send Saban into retirement. |

Maybe Alabama won't have to put in their second string lineup until fourth quarter. The SEC is the best and Alabama will meet the SEC's second best in the SEC championship game (if Auburn doesn't get lucky). |

I can't see Auburn pulling off an upset against Bama. Same goes for LSU. Not this year. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 40422920 Played nobody...VT...TexAM...Ole Miss...what are you talking about? Alabama's secondary is weak. Out of all those teams you mentioned, only TexAM has a potent passing attack and they barely won that game. Florida State, Oregon, a healthy Georgia, and even Clemson would destroy them through the air. But don't worry, they'll be exposed as frauds eventually. |

VT, A&M and Ole Miss are or were all ranked teams this year. Bama beat all of them. Georgia? Who are trying to fool? FL St. and Oregon would both be interesting matches (as was A&M), ut they would fall. Saban preps his teams so well and McCarron is a big game QB. Bama is still #1 and will stay there for the rest of 2013. |

(Saturday's in the fall are the best Saturday's of all) I love the Vols but 45-3? I think its going to be more like 52-0. Im pretty sure Alabama and Oregon have a bet as to who can hand the Vols their worst lose in the school's history. Its tough being a tenn fan right now. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 43230739 Back to back shut outs are hard to hand out, even for Bama. I can see 3 or even 6 points from the Vols. |

Next season I plan on heading down for a game. Never done it yet. I can imagine the atmosphere is unbelievable. ROLL TIDE! I was at the Arkansas game last week. It was a blowout, but still an amazing environment to watch a game. I've been going since I was five, and they've added 4 upper decks and about 50000 seats in that 30 years. Traffic is crazy nowadays, and a game is a whole day affair, but it's worth it. That was my first game in about 3 years. We got free tickets because my dad was an Academic All American in baseball at UA, and they brought them out before the game. Pretty cool hearing your dad's name announced to 100,000 fans. Also, I got to meet Johnny Musso, who was also Academic All American, in the A Club before the game. My wife's gynecologist was down there with him, too. ![]() Last Edited by Revbo™ on 10/25/2013 02:34 PM “You must be sure that the girl is pure…” -Tone Loc |
