Dreamland is good but Archibald's is better quality ribs. It's over by Academy which is towards the interstate. But stop by Gallette's and get a yellowhammer and tip the blonde bartender very well

Yeah, I like the original Archibalds in Northport. I could also go for a big breakfast at the Waysider. Didn't realize so many Tuscaloosans were on here. I'm a former Black Bear myself.

My dad was an assistant coach at Alabama during the early 1960's. He was the line-backer coach. Regardless, what did everyone think about Saban's comments the other day that if you cannot remain in your seats for the entirety of the game; you need to give your tickets to someone who would? I think that was the most arrogant statement I have ever heard. With world and domestic events as they are; who in the hell is he to presume so far? It's a freaking game.

Yeah, saban's an asshole. He's right if he's talking about the students, though. Those kids leave at halftime or earlier for every game. They used to stay for at least three quarters. I guess it's kind of a bad side effect of being really good, too.

Archibalds is great but my vote is the original Dreamland.

I liked Dreamland when All you could get was ribs,ribs sammitch,and maybe some chips. Big John understood minimalism.

My money is on Archibald's off MLK. Dreamland is still good (the original) but you're right about the original owner. I just passed the Waysider and there are no less than 25 people outside waiting for a seat.

Saban was talking about student section seats-last year Mrs. Terri made a big stink about it and this year it came to fruition; 21 groups lost student seating this week for the SGA complaints at the Arkansas game last week.

Sounds like it was actually confirmed she was looking for a place in Austin. If it's true I would hope they just promote Kirby Smart.

By the way, I WAS a fan of Herman the Kid as poster here about a year ago. Wonder what happened to that nice chap?

My SO had a good weekend as well. But he's a compulsive gambler and does it all the time about everything.

Still, this has been an excellent year for betting for him.

And he is very generous about sharing so I'm a happy camper as well. If he's gonna do it, glad he at least usually makes money.

I expect the Championship game to be more competitive and entertaining that the past 2 that Bama just steam rolled, but yes 3-peat all the way. Saban is so football smart it is ridiculous. He'll have ample time to prepare and the team is looking better every week.

If you had asked me, before the Tennessee game, I would have said Alabama should probably be ranked third, after FSU and Oregon. After seeing the first really complete game of the year, though, I'd say the top ranking is deserved now. Alabama beat Tennessee pretty much as badly as did Oregon, and arguably beat a significantly better Tennessee team than did Oregon. Oddly enough, I think losing Sunseri has been a good thing, because it's allowed Landon Collins to step up his game and the defensive backfield, which seemed to be the only glaring weakness, now looks like it's one of the best out there.

The only thing that makes me at all nervous about Collins is that he is not big game tested like Sunseri. Still, Bama has been rolling over it's competition all season. Next game (LSU) and the Auburn game will both be very meaning full and will test Bama. If the Tide can roll over these 2 teams nothing will stop them from winning a 3rd national Championship in a row...and 4th in 5 years.
