If you are on Medicaid, there is something called "estate recovery". That means that when you die, the gov seizes your property to "recover" the money they spent on you. Before Obamacare, this was made plain to people who signed up for Medicaid. Now you are "automatically" enrolled in Medicaid and the requirements for doing so have been lowered. With so many children and relatives living with older family members, this means many will be evicted and put out on the street. So much for inheritance! All people will eventually become paupers and serfs living in public housing under this plan... maybe that is the intent?

Only the spouse is protected from eviction, however "estate recovery" will proceed when the spouse dies! Beware! Do not accept Medicaid
