I think the term shill is for those that get paid but in reality tons of people are shills without even knowing it...

Everyone is indoctrinated and brainwashed to a certain level.

For example around 5+ yrs after 9/11 I believed the official story, so I would always defend it on forums... now I realize I was definitely wrong but I bet I came across as a shill to many others in the past in that subject.

GLP and other similar sites ;) are filled with Shills though, I am confident Above has many moderators that are shills, I have not been on GLP long enough to notice it yet... but would not surprise me.

I agree, but I think there are some real ones. Nobody specific, but I've noticed it with ACs, the same phrases used over and over in different threads on the same topic, different threads being derailed in the same way, etc.
