They have a solution ready but will not use it: "Scientists found a gold mine of bacteria almost two miles beneath the Earth’s surface. The subterranean microorganisms, a division of Firmicutes bacteria, use radioactive uranium to convert water molecules into useable energy. Uranium is an element contained within the Earth’s crust and is an abundant source of energy." Except it's not Uranium and it will never work like that.
Other than that, it's a good plan. |

The only real solution is some massive radiation scrubber system that absorbs the free electrons into some media which serves as a sacrificial anode, neutralizing the free radicals and binding them into a stable form. But mostly we are just Fuked. |
